If you are looking to visit Miami and looking for ideas of some of the best places to stay, eat and do I will share down below a few top and favorite spots from our recent visit, so follow along for my favorites and must go places in Miami.

Where to stay?
So when I recently visited Miami last spring I wanted a centralized and close to everything location. After researching decided to stay on Brickell which is right in Downtown Miami only minutes away from anything: Miami’s cruise port, beaches, restaurants and other attractions.
Our top choice was Kimpton EPIC Hotel. It has been recently renovated, right on the heart of Brickell and has amazing city and water views. Our room was a City View room overlooking the Miami Tower (which is gorgeous to look at night), private balcony, separate rain shower and a soaking tub.

Food
The cuisine is one of my favorite parts of planning a trip, therefore I invest a lot of time researching restaurants, reading reviews to ensure having a list of places that I can easily tie accordingly to our daily plan. Since we only went for a short period of time I was only able to visit some of what I had on my list of must go. But who doesn’t like a good brunch and some of the best latin food? A few of our favorites and must try places below.
- Bistro Cafe, was our favorite brunch. Expect some wait, but trust me when I say its completely worth it.
- La Havana, hands down the BEST Cuban food Ive ever had. I recommend this option for lunch or dinner. They have several locations in the South Beach area.
- 100×35, recomend for lunch or dinner. We couldnt resist the temptation to have PuertoRican cuisine outside of the island.

What to do
There is so much to do in Miami and it really depends on what you want to spend your time on doing. We brought our daughter along so our plans were more family friendly, but we still felt like we got to do mostly everything we wanted. I’m still listing one of our top recommendations for you to check out.
- South Beach (we like going to the beach by 2nd St. since its a bit further out from the crowds)
- Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science
- Nightlife (check out LIV, they bring mayor artist’s and DJ’s)
- Go luxury shopping to Design District
